This is me and my family. I am a daughter, wife, mother, sister and friend. I got to marry my amazing husband, Kaleb, in May of 2015 after only knowing each other for a year. I love sharing our story, which you can find on my blog along with all of my birth stories. Our son, Elisha, was born October 2016, our daughter, Adley, was born October 2018, and our daughter, Anna, was born May 2021. We live on the outskirts of Huntington, IN, in the country and love spending time together outside as well as watching movies/shows, having dance parties, and playing games inside.
I get to stay home with my kids while also working in a field I ADORE. Other things I enjoy are homemaking, running, walking, hiking, adventure sports, and traveling, as well as coffee, reading, writing, listening to music, and mentoring young women through the ups and downs of life.
After graduating college, I worked with FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) as an Area Representative for 8 years. I directed the Fort Wayne FCA Power Camp for 3rd-5th grade kids for 7 years and worked with middle school, high school and college students, teachers and coaches. While loving FCA, once the idea of becoming a doula and starting my own business came into the picture, it didn’t take long to realize it was a career change I was meant to take. Between getting to come alongside young women, and getting to do that through one of the biggest changes of their lives, becoming a doula was a perfect fit. Little did I know that sports ministry would be make a comeback with adding in personal training, nutrition coaching, and working with pregnant and postpartum women in the fitness setting.
The childbearing year, while exciting and so beautiful, can also bring its many challenges and often unmet expectations. With life already having its ups and downs, I have learned that having extra support through this time with quality information and guidance through the decision-making process, professional yet also personal support that is just for you, extra support for your spouse/partner and family, and an extra hand and calming presence either during the labor and birth process or while you’re adjusting back home after your birth, hiring a doula is invaluable. It is why we hired a doula for our third baby.
I consider this line of work an absolute privilege. It is a complete honor to get to come alongside women and their families, and I do everything I can to accommodate for each individual family’s needs.
